Jamaica Cove unveils Black Pineapple variant

23 August 2017

If your pineapple flavoured rum collection is looking a bit sparse then look no further than Jamaica Cove's latest release.

A blend of Jamaican Pot and Column Stills, Jamaica Cove Black Pineapple is laced with – you guessed it – pineapple, and aged for up to three years before being bottled at 40% abv.

Newly formed spirits business, Portmore Rum Company heads up the Jamaica Cove Rum portfolio which includes recent launch Black Ginger Rum and is targeting the on- and off-trade with this Piña Colada darling.

'Jamaica Cove Black Pineapple Rum, alongside their Black Ginger Rum are flavourful, quality additions to the Mangrove portfolio,' Nick Gillett, managing director of Mangrove, said.

'The infusion of pineapple – which is an increasingly popular ingredient amongst bartenders – with a quality Jamaican rum offers greater depths of flavour for creative cocktail making.'

40% abv, £22/ 70cl, Mangrove, 020 3409 6565
