JJ Whitley launches with two gins and two vodkas

JJ Whitley is a new range of spirits from drinks manufacturer Halewood International, initially launching with four spirits.

There are two gins, a London Dry that includes a variety of botanicals including coriander, liquorice and sweet citrus peel; and a flavoured elderflower gin made using elderflower extract and cinnamon.

Two vodkas complete the line-up: a 100% potato vodka, and a rhubarb vodka that contains natural rhubarb extract.

The range is said to be inspired by the British countryside, and is named after John James Whitley, the first of the Whitley family to start distilling in 1762 – his Whitley Neill gin has been part of Halewood's portfolio since 2009.

The range is aimed at the on-trade, and plans to respond to demand from a younger audience that's looking for 'new flavour combinations ' according to the brand. Training and POS kits are available.
