Deputy editor Millie Milliken will be taking part in three panels on 30 and 31 July as part of Club Soda's online no and low event
The eighth Mindful Drinking Festival taking place on Club Soda's Facebook and Youtube channels, 30 July - 2 August will give consumers, operators and hospitality workers alike an insight into the growing market of no- and low-alcohol drinks, including craft beers, wines, spirits, lower-sugar sodas, tonics and infusions, as well as how to incorporate mindful drinking into everyday life.
As part of the festival, Imbibe deputy editor Millie Milliken will be taking part in three of the 80 global panels:
- Supercharging your influencer profile (8.30am, 30 July): This pre-festival workshop and briefing will give mindful drinking/sobriety/lifestyle bloggers, podcasters or Instagrammers tips from expert content creators. They will give you advice on how to monetise your influencer profile, teach you about the products on offers and guide you on how to go about creating your content. Hosted by Club Soda's Laura Willoughby MBE, this panel will also feature Mark Livings (Lyre’s), Millie Gooch (Sober Girl Society) and Annie and Bianka (We Want to Be Better).
- Integrating no- and low-alcohol into your venue (12pm, 30 July): With reports that consumers are making more mindful choices when it comes to drinking in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, this panel will discuss practical tips for how venues can integrate no- and low-abv drinks into their menus. Hosted by Zanna Mercer (from The Understudy and Drink Bright), the talk will see Milliken joined by Luke Whearty (BYRDI, Melbourne), James Alcock (The Local Larder & Wine Bar, Brisbane), Dan Crowther (Hedonist, Leeds) and Tom Ward (Wise Bartender).
- Meet the winners of Imbibe's No and Low Taste Awards (5pm, 31 July): Join the judges of the inaugral Imbibe No and Low Taste Awards – Camille Vidal (La Maison Wellness), Laura Willoughby (Club Soda) and Christine Parkinson (Brimful Drinks) as they speak to Milliken about the awards and the winning drinks. They will also discuss how this new sector is not only redefining the way we drink but also how we think about drinks too.
