Specialist premium drinks distributor London Cellar has won exclusive rights to distribute Australian craft beer brand Little Creatures across both the UK on and off-trade.

Efforts will initially focus on the brewer’s flagship beer, Little Creatures Pale Ale (5.2% abv), with plans to make the wider range available at a later date.

Little Creatures hails from Australia’s west coast, having been founded in 2000 in Fremantle, near Perth. It now has a further brewing site in Geelong, Victoria, alongside a microbrewery and bar in Hong Kong. It is currently distributed in 15 countries around the world.  The brand was first brought to the UK in 2009 by premium cider producer and distributor, Aspall.

'We are very excited to be forming a partnership with London Cellar to help increase distribution of our Little Creatures range in the UK,' Jolanda Bossers, UK market manager for Little Creatures, said.

'We have ambitious growth plans for the UK over the next few years, and we believe the team at London Cellar has the right experience, drive and contacts to help us achieve this.'

London Cellar also distributes the Al Murray beer brand, La Chouette Normandy Cider, and Lost Rivers Brewing Company’s range of premium English beers.

'We are delighted to have gained the exclusive UK rights to distribute the Little Creatures premium world beer range and are looking forward to giving it a renewed focus within the on and off-trade markets,' John Hadingham, London Cellar managing director, added.

'It is a quality range which we have long admired and with the current consumer thirst for world beers we believe now is the ideal time to increase its distribution within the UK.'
