If you’ve lost your job due to coronavirus, here’s a list of resources that might prove useful.

We’re not employment lawyers or experts in benefits, finance or tenancy rights, but we’ve found some organisations and people that are. We’ll be keeping this list updated as we find more useful contacts – and please if you have anything to recommend that others might find useful drop us a line at robyn@imbibe.com

Also, let us know if there’s something you are having difficulty finding help with and we can search for it together. Send an email to the address above or message us on any of our social media channels (Insta and Twitter @imbibeuk or find us on Facebook and LinkedIn)

Here’s a template for a letter you can send to your residential landlord if you have lost your job

This is a template for a budget planner that might be helpful

This is a really useful checklist of things to do if you’ve lost your job from the Money Advice Service

You can find a guide to Universal Credit here: https://www.understandinguniversalcredit.gov.uk/new-to-universal-credit/is-it-for-me/

Don't fall into the trap of thinking charities aren't there to help people like you. They are. Some of those that are dedicated to the hospitality and drinks trade include:

The Drinks Trust (formally The Benevolent)

The Licensed Trade Charity

There’s also The Hospitality Workers Emergency Fund

Contact ACAS for advice on your rights as an employee, here's its dedicated page to coronavirus-related issues

And the Citizens Advice Bureau might be helpful too, you can find your local branch here. Or with the current guidelines around social distancing in place, you can call them on 03444 111 444
