Magners launches dark fruit cider

06 April 2017

Ever wanted Magners with a darkier and fruitier twist? Well, today is your lucky day as Magners announces the launch of its Dark Fruit variant.

The refreshing 4% abv fruit cider is cut with blackcurrant and blackberry, and it will be available exclusively on draught in the on-trade this month.

An even fruiter alternative to the original, Magners Dark Fruit includes notes of rich, jammy berries and sharp blackcurrants to give it a refreshingly sweet and crisp taste, the company says.

It’s a go-to for the summer months, but sure to be in demand year-round.

'2016 was a bumper year for Magners and the launch of Mangers Dark Fruit in Scotland, sets 2017 to be an even more exciting year for the brand,' Janette Murray, Magners marketing manager, said.

'We’re not in the dark about this one, from our research we know there’s room on the bar for a new fruit cider and people want more choice in draught cider offering.'

Magners Dark Fruit is rolling out in 500 outlets across Scotland from April and is supported through branded point-of-sale kits.
