McKinley signs up Champagne Janisson et Fils

27 August 2015

There's a new champagne in the McKinley Vintners portfolio, namely Champagne Janisson et Fils. The announcement comes not long after the addition of ABK6 Cognac into the fold earlier this month.

Manuel Janisson's champagne house is located in the Verzenay, where he produces a range of champagnes exclusively from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, from mostly grand cru areas.

'Champagne Janisson is reaching an incredibly exciting time in its evolution as a brand and we are delighted to be involved,' said Peter McKinley. 'The combination of a traditional, family owned house with its roots deep in the terroir of Verzenay and the vision and passion of Manuel offers a unique combination of tradition and modernity which is perfect for today’s champagne consumer.'

Janisson added: 'I am delighted to be working with McKinley Vintners Ltd, a company which has such a wealth of experience in the UK champagne market, and am very much looking forward to introducing my champagnes to their customers both old and new.'

The house's champagnes have only had limited availability in the UK before, and McKinley is its first UK agent. The range consists of seven wines, namely a Brut Tradition (£20.35 ex-VAT), Brut Rosé, Brut Nature, Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru, Grand Cru and Vintage 2006.
