Solo Coffee has launched a concentrate designed to speed up service and reduce waste when making Espresso Martinis in bars

Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate has been created by Alex Foss Sims and Theo Garcia, founders of Solo Coffee, to replace the need to brew hot espresso 'and cooling it down in the shaker, resulting in a loss of flavour'.

The duo are said to have developed a product that, unlike other concentrates that use artificial thickeners to create the crema, creates a 'smooth and foamy finish' by using new techniques and technology.

Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate is said to be a long-life, ambient-stable product for the back bar and comes in 1-litre Tetra Paks with 20x50ml servings equating to 49p per double shot.

'Alex and I decided to use our expertise to solve a growing issue in the hospitality industry and we’re really excited to now be offering a solution,' said Garcia. 'We wouldn’t sell a concentrate unless we were truly proud of it and we look forward to making bartenders’ jobs a lot easier.'

Available to pre-order from 1 October, £9.95/20x50ml, Solo Coffee,
