Pub operator Oakman Inns & Restaurants has announced it has purchased three new pubs, and is in negotiations to take on more.
The pubs – two located in Buckinghamshire, in Amersham and Swanbourne, and the third in Solihull, Warwickshire – include a former Lazy Cow property.
Oakman Inns CEO and founder Peter Borg-Neal (pictured) said: 'Since the collapse of The Lazy Cow group last year we have been trying to obtain control of their former premises in Solihull. We are currently operating the site as a 'Tenancy at Will' and hope to sign a permanent deal in the very near future. Once that has been sealed the site will become our third Beech House property.'
The other two sites are The Betsey Wynne, leased on a 25-year free-of-tie deal from the Swanbourne Estate, and a new build site in Amersham which is part of a large residential scheme in the town centre. It is not due to open until Spring 2017.
Oakman Inns, founded in 2007, now operates 16 sites in its Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Essex heartlands. Earlier in January it announced record Christmas sales of £2.1m, up 55% on 2014.
