Poetic License launches gooseberry and elderflower gin

13 September 2017

Small batch distillery Poetic License is set to launch the latest one-off spirit release in its ‘The Rarities’ range – a gooseberry and elderflower gin.

Bottled at 38% abv and available from 18 September with pre-orders taken now, the new gin is the result of a single distillation, with only a few hundred bottles available at £34.95 each.

It follows other Rarities releases from earlier this year: Cherry and Basil gin, and Orange Blossom gin, both of which sold out within a few days of release.

Distiller Luke Smith described the Gooseberry & Elderflower gin as 'a final "hurrah" to summer, taking sweet yet tart gooseberries and coupling it with fragrant elderflower'.

The Sunderland distillery, established in 2015, also bottles Northern Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin and Graceful Vodka in its core range.

38% abv,  £34.95, trade enquiries to Beth Race
