Rekorderlig is hoping to get bartenders surfing the cider cocktail wave by bringing its Jam Sessions to the capital next month.
The initiative aims to get bartenders collaborating on cocktail creation, instead of competing – and obviously focuses on using cider in cocktails.
It launched last year in Glasgow, and is coming to London via Rekorderlig's Cider Lodge at Southbank Centre’s Winter Festival on 1 December.
As the colder months are here, bartenders will be encouraged to use the brand's Winter Cider on the day – an apple cider infused with cinnamon and vanilla – under the watchful eye of global brand ambassador Joel Persson and Scottish drinks school Liquid Academy. Various spirits, fruits and back bar essentials will be available to get creative.
Linsey Adams, customer marketing manager at Rekorderlig UK said: 'We want to inspire bartenders to feature cider as a key ingredient in their bars' cocktail creations and realise the potential of this trend. Through this event, we hope to build a community of mixologists who will act as ambassadors to Rekorderlig and cider cocktails in the on trade.'
To do so, bartenders attending will add their new cider serves to their bar's menu following the event.

This coincides with Rekorderlig's relaunch of its Winter Cider, for which it's launched a new range of POS material for the on-trade, including an urn and teapot to serve it warm, and a pitcher to serve it cold. It's available to buy online.
