Renowned bartender Simone Caporale is teaming up with Francesco Mazzei, chef patron of Sartoria, to bring an innovative new cocktail menu to the Libare Bar.
Looking to brighten up hump days all round, every Wednesday from 28 September to 30 November will see Caporale in residence as the bar's 'master of mixology', offering cocktails inspired by suited-and-booted street Savile Row.
One of Caporale's creations for the bar will be a reinvention of the classic dry Martini for Sartoria. The Savile Row Martini will include botanicals such as vetiver, orris root, musk and cedar wood.
Other cocktails in Caporale's collection will include a White Spritz – a Venetian twist on the classic with prosecco, aperitivo blanco and blood orange – and a Monte Pimm's, containing amaro mixed with seasonal fruits and chinotto soda.
Each residency night will be accompanied by a range of perfectly-paired cicchetti from Mazzei.
'I am delighted to be working with Francesco and the whole team at Sartoria on presenting this exclusive and unique collection of cocktails,' said Caporale on the collaboration. 'I have been greatly inspired by the timeless style and bespoke tailoring of Savile Row, and it is an honour to create a collection that captures the essence of this experience, whilst also reflecting the culinary excellence of the restaurant.'
Mazzei added: 'I am thrilled to be hosting Simone at Sartoria, and to have this collection of cocktails appearing exclusively in the Libare Bar. It has been a pleasure developing the menus together, in a partnership that celebrates the unique character of Savile Row, the essence of Sartoria, and our shared Italian heritage.'
