The company claims that these will be the world’s first range of non-alcoholic aperitifs.
The creation of Seedlip’s new sister brand has been led by Claire Warner, managing director of Æcorn. The brand will feature three different products, which are all made from English grapes and aromatised with herbs, roots and bitter botanicals.
Inspired by 17th-century English herbal remedies and the European aperitif tradition, Æcorn’s expressions are designed to awaken the appetite.
‘We are thrilled to be following in Seedlip’s footsteps and breaking new ground in the category they created,’ said Warner. ‘Since Seedlip’s launch, the world of non-alcoholic has shown itself to be dynamic and exciting, and we hope that the introduction of Æcorn Aperitifs will additionally help solve the dilemma of what to enjoy with food, when you’re not drinking.
‘Seedlip has given those who are not drinking a seat at the bar, and now Æcorn Aperitifs will give everyone who is not drinking, a seat at the table.’
Warner has been joined by Emma Murphy, the former director of London Wine Week, who has taken the position of Æcorn’s head of marketing.
The new brand is set to launch in spring 2019, and anyone who is keen can register their interest on aecornaperitifs.com.
