Slingsby Gin celebrates hitting a million

What do you do when you hit your million pound worth of sales? Celebrate, of course. And that's exactly what Harrogate-based gin brand Slingsby is doing.

Since launching the brand in August 2015, its range of three gins – London Dry, Rhubarb and Navy Strength – has grown in popularity. Showing no signs of slowing down, the brand has more than 500 listings and has had more than 15,000 visitors to its flagships store.

Using ingredients sourced locally to produce its gins, Slingsby also offers the full gin experience in its Harrogate HQ, taking you on a journey from 'botanical to bottle', with cocktails brought to you by an in-house bar team.

'It’s an exciting time to be making gin in the UK, for sure,' said co-founder Marcus Black. 'Our gin is a true product of its surroundings, from locally grown botanicals, the glassware we source and manpower we use.

'It’s authentic and people can relate to it. Over the next six months, we are looking to double the size of our retail and experience space to satisfy demand and offer on-site consumer distillation experiences.'
