Spirit Cartel is bringing a whole tranche of tequilas over to the UK from Orendain, Mexico’s largest independent tequila producer.

First up is the brand-new Cantinero Blanco, which has been created by Spirit Cartel in partnership with Orendain. Joining it will be Cantinero Reposado, a product that was already on the market in Mexico.

That’s not all, however, Spirit Cartel are also importing Orendain’s premium ranges Ollitas, which includes a Blanco and Reposado; and Gran Orendain, which has a Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, Extra Anejo 3yo and Extra Anejo 7yo.

Orendain has a strong reputation in Mexico. It is poured at legendary Mexican bar La Capilla in Tequila, which is where Don Javier first created the Batanga, apparently using Orendain.

‘This deal is a real coup for us – and another sign of our commitment to bringing the very best tequilas to the UK on-trade. We want to show agave at its best – it’s time to move on from those thin, industrial, tequilas and give customers a taste of some of Mexico’s finest,’ said David Hood of Spirit Cartel.
