Forthcoming members’ club The Court will see some of the biggest names in hospitality collaborating on its food and drinks offerings, according to its founder Harry Mead.

Mead, who formerly worked in business development for Ryan Chetiyawardana’s Mr Lyan cocktail empire, tapped the team from Mr Lyan Studio to develop the cocktail list for the new venue. Meanwhile, Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers will take the reins in the kitchen, creating the club’s food menu and training its in-house chefs. Richard Haddon, the former general manager of Mahiki, will originate the role of GM.

The Court will be located on Kingly Street in London’s Soho at the site of the former music venue Bag O’Nails, which played host to performances by everyone from Jimi Hendrix to The Beatles. Mead has secured a £2m investment to renovate the space. He plans to fit it with a stage, curved bar, atmospheric lighting and late licence.

The Court is set to open in February 2019, with annual membership starting at a cool £600.
