Another entrant to the bustling low-alcohol category has been launched  – enter Strongbow Dark Fruit’s new 0.5% abv cider.

Said to contain no artificial flavours or colours, the cider is also vegan-friendly and comes in at a virtuous 73 calories per bottle.

‘Thousands of loyal Strongbow Dark Fruit fans will be rejoicing at this news,’ said Rachel Holms, marketing director at Strongbow. ‘It’s a game-changer for low and no alcohol.’

The product will be available through multiple markets come March 2020.

Since it's launch in 2014, Strongbow Dark Fruits has been a huge success for owner Heineken.  The company claims that in that time it has added £1bn in sales to the on-trade with one in four pints of cider now sold in pubs and bars being a Strongbow Dark Fruit.

0.5% abv, RRP £1.10 x 330ml, Strongbow
