Brewer and pub company Greene King has partnered with Liverpool’s International Slavery Museum in a bid to help raise awareness and educate about the historic transatlantic slave trade.
The pub company has established a new five-year agreement with partner The Prince's Trust, pledging to create more jobs for young people from BAME backgrounds.
The pub company says it is planning to increase the number of spaces on its award winning apprenticeship programme even further over the coming weeks.

However chief executive Nick Mackenzie warns that many pubs across the UK ‘will not be financially viable or able to open for operational reasons with the current restrictions in place’.
