Created by British bar owner Joel Fraser and Distilled Spirits Group's Arnaud de Trabuc, the bartender favourite will be launching across the pond
Created by Fraser and de Trabuc to strengthen the premium French Brandy category, Seven Tails XO comprises Brandy, Armagnac and Cognac from the southwest of France, then blends of which are rested for up to 30 days in Port wood.
There are seven expressions in the portfolio: French Brandy (3yo+); Armagnac Ténarèze; Armagnac 4yo; Armagnac 20yo; Armagnac 30yo; Cognac 8yo; and Cognac 10yo.
Currently, it can be found on menus in some of London's most popular bars and restaurants (Kwãnt, Three Sheets, London Cocktail Club, Satan’s Whiskers and Hawksmoor), and during the Covid-19 lockdown UK bartenders took part in its #seventailstwist initiative to raise money for domestic abuse charities.
On its move to the US, and with the current on-trade restraints due to coronavirus, Seven Tails XO will initially be launching to the off-trade and retailers, with Fraser and de Trabuc conducting virtual masterclasses and cocktail lessons.
Seven Tails XO will be launched by Shaw-Ross International Importers initially in California, Illinois, Michigan, NY, Florida, Louisiana and Texas.
