The craft gin distillery has partnered with Healthy Hospo to support workers in the industry during the coronavirus pandemic
It will be donating £1 from every online home delivery order of its gin made in May to the not-for-profit organisation, spearheaded by Tim Etherington-Judge.
Healthy Hospo supports bartenders, waiters, chefs and others working in the industry with their mental health, and is also launching a new initiative, funding one-to-one sessions between hospitality workers struggling with their mental health and professionals from Business Mental Wellbeing and Me, Myself in Mind.
We thought it was important to recognise the psychological difficulties many people will be facing and we really admire the support Healthy Hospo is offering to those in need
It is also launching a Facebook Live Daily Chat every day at 5pm, where subjects including sleeping, nutrition, managing anxiety and opportunity in uncertainty will be covered by wellbeing experts, as well as industry names (including Tina and Tom Warner).
'We founded Warner’s on the mantra that we’re #unitedinspirit,' said Warner’s founder, Tom Warner. 'Especially in the early days, we wouldn’t have got through it without the support of our friends and family and we certainly wouldn’t be where we are today without the generosity of the on-trade in the UK – and further afield. This is our way of giving something back during this challenging time to support our friends, by raising a glass – and money for much-needed support.
He continued: 'While there are some fantastic organisations helping the trade financially, we thought it was important to recognise the psychological difficulties many people will be facing and we really admire the support Healthy Hospo is offering to those in need. From farm start-up to navigating the choppy waters of the pandemic, we know just how tough it can be. We can’t wait until we can unite properly and celebrate with you all on the other side.'
