Today, Thursday 15 October, will see two panels packed with industry experts take place:
12.30pm - 1.30pm Drinks menus post-pandemic trends and blends Join Julian de Féral (international drinks consultant), Zoe Cunliffe (Mixology Group director) and Chris Tanner (bars director at The Vault and The Proofing Room) who will be looking ahead to the ingredients, flavours, techniques and styles set to take the drinks world by storm.
3pm - 4pm Supporting mental health and wellbeing in the hospitality industry
Will Meredith (head bartender at Lyaness), Camille Vidal (founder of La Maison Wellness) and Ross Carter (CEO of The Drinks Trust) will examine the challenges faced by hospitality workers, experiences of dealing with mental health issues, and provide advice on where you can seek help for yourself and others.
It followed a packed day of sessions yesterday (Wednesday 14 October). Highlights include:
- How to judge wine in competitions with Harry Crowther (Grain to Grape), Christine Parkinson (Brimful Drinks), Charlie Young (Vinoteca) and Micaela Ferreira (Sommelier Wine Awards).
- Making our industry more diverse and inclusive, with Deano Moncrieffe (Equal Measures), Lorraine Copes (BAME in Hospitality), Cressida Lawlor (London Cocktail Club) and Yannick Benjamin (Wine on Wheels).
- Starting a business in a pandemic with Hannah Sharman-Cox and Siobhan Payne (Drinkup.London and London Cocktail Week), Nate Brown (Twin Province) and Hebe Richardson (Drinks with Hebe).
