Yeastie Boys’ The Reflex is the latest of a rising number of craft lager launches across the UK
The recipe of Yeastie Boys’ latest addition to the core range includes Pilsner, Vienna and Carapils malts, Hallertau Blanc hops and New Zealand’s signature, Nelson Sauvin.
It pours quite pale in colour, showing a classic German helles nose complemented by plenty of fragrant floral and fruity notes from the dry hopping. The palate is balanced, fresh, with citrus flavours as well as some floral on the mid-palate and bread crust in the finish.
It’s a delightful lager whose nose somehow reminds us of an Italian-style pilsner, but with a characteristic Kiwi touch. It’s certainly one of the best British craft lagers of recent release.
